Before Fue Hair Transplantation, the donor area is shaved and an incision is made on the skin in circular and small skin sections. This incision is repeated until enough follicular units are collected to contain follicular units (1-4 hairs) for hair transplantation. Before graft removal, small holes are made in the skin in the balding area using a fine-tipped needle and the units are placed one by one with forceps under the microscope.
In the FUE method, long hair can be transplanted because the hair is taken from the donor’s scalp as thin and long. In both FUE and FUT procedures, the procedures are basically the same, but the difference is the appearance of the donor area, the quantity and quality of the grafts obtained. In the FUE technique, the hair follicles are collected and transplanted to the required area one by one, so it does not require stitches and therefore there is no problem of scarring in the donor area.
